Just a small 24V Power supply does the job.

Lessons learned:

  • Do not buy the ‘el cheapo’ 19 racks from the ‘bay. They suck. Simply not sturdy enough plus it bends during machining.
  • Frontpanel should at least be 4mm thick since it has to support all the weight from PSU and modules.
  • Measure module size manually instead of using the dimensions from the datasheets, saves you up a lot of filing on your ready made frontpanel.

I’ll add another picture of the closed unit later.

One of my units did not work properly, it was badly distorting the input signal. It turned out that the input stage had a problem. I took the opportunity to take a couple of pictures while the unit was disassembled.
